Dragon Veins are anomalous geographical phenomena characterised by intensified interaction between HERE and the FLIPSIDE.

Properties

Dragon Veins manifest as linear regions distributed across a planetary surface. Within these regions, the degree of dimensional interlap is measurably higher than in surrounding areas. As a result, Dragon Veins can be reliably identified by elevated Anima readings, which serve as the primary method of detection and mapping. The concentration of Anima within these zones is directly correlated with the intensity of dimensional interaction.

Effects

Due to their anomalous properties, Dragon Veins exhibit a heightened probability of enabling passage between dimensions. These effects vary in intensity along the length of a given Vein. Prior to the Hunt, Dragon Veins were significantly weaker. Prevailing theoretical models further suggest that Dragon Veins were non-static in origin, shifting over time in accordance with the planet’s magnetosphere. With the subsequent disappearance of this magnetospheric influence, most Dragon Veins have become fixed in place. However, some have retained a limited degree of mobility, constrained to a small number of established anchor points.
