Faelir Automatons are mechanical constructs designed and created by the Fae for the purpose of security and defence. These entities function as autonomous guards, operating under a structured system that enables them to execute basic commands.

Physical Characteristics

Each Faelir Automaton stands approximately 2.6 m in height and is composed of a metallic alloy resembling brass. Their design closely mirrors traditional Fae armour, with a uniform appearance across units. The head of a Faelir Automaton is featureless apart from a set of eyes and horns, which are consistent in design among all individuals. Their forearms are typically shaped into swords, reflecting their primary role as combat-oriented sentinels.

Operational Mechanism

Faelir Automatons are powered by a Fael Fire core. The activation status of an Automaton is indicated by the illumination of its eyes, which serve as a visual marker of its operational state. These constructs are animated through an advanced yet rigid system that allows for movement and task execution. However, their cognitive capacity is significantly limited, restricting them to simple commands and preventing them from engaging in complex problem-solving or independent decision-making.

Function

Designed primarily as sentries, Faelir Automatons serve the Fae by enforcing security measures and guarding specific locations. Their programming ensures strict adherence to issued directives, though their operational scope remains confined to straightforward, pre-defined instructions.
