Oasys is the official social media and communication platform of the Chromatican City, developed and maintained by the Vermilion. Designed as the city’s primary digital social infrastructure, Oasys integrates social networking, messaging, media sharing, and public feedback mechanisms into a single, centralised system.

Features

• Users may post and share text, images, video, and audio content, which can be liked, shared, or commented on by others.
• The platform encourages organic interaction, with a light-touch algorithm that promotes content only minimally based on engagement metrics, preserving a decentralised content environment.
• Oasys includes a full-featured direct messaging system, supporting one-on-one encrypted communication, group chats, customisable user groups with multiple discussion channels, and audio and video calling capabilities
• Vermilion regularly disseminates polls, surveys, and public service updates through Oasys, soliciting feedback on platform functionality and public policy.

Network Infrastructure

Oasys operates independently of traditional Wi-Fi or satellite systems. Instead, it leverages the city’s proprietary signal mesh, that provides continuous and universal coverage throughout the Chromatican City and surrounding infrastructure zones. Users are able to access Oasys anywhere within signal range, ensuring uninterrupted connectivity regardless of physical location.

Moderation

While designed for minimal algorithmic interference, Oasys is actively monitored and curated by Vermilion. Moderation is conducted using a combination of automated filters and human oversight.
